How you can get involved

Parents, staff, alumni and the community can get involved in many ways, and are integral to our school community. From joining our School Development Group, PTFA or fundraising on our behalf, or bringing practical skills such as carpentry or gardening. As well as bringing valued support to our school, you can also develop new skills and enjoy deepening your connection with the community, getting to know parents from across the school and people from the local area.

School Development Group

Our School Development Group is at the forefront of pioneering great change here at Drumduan School. We are a community Steiner School, and have an incredible and engaging Development Group run by volunteers.

Our Developmental Group focuses on improving our school everyday, whether that be making us more sustainable, getting us involved in community projects, applying for grants, or consulting with the entire school community on the vision and values of our school.

The School Development Group is open to all parents, teachers and the winder community alike. You can also speak to us to join the Gardening Group on Fridays or help with other specific areas that you are interested in.

PTFA
Parents, Teachers and Friends Association

Drumduan is a community Steiner school, and has an active and engaged parent body that help support the school and teachers in many ways, large and small – whether it be through organising annual events like our Christmas Fair, fundraising, volunteering in the school, or helping to champion and promote the school to the wider world.

We consider the fabric of this community to be one of our greatest strengths, and parent power as being the key to the ongoing success of the school.

We have a Parents, Teachers and Friends Association whose aim is to foster good communication in the school, to help raise funds, to spread the word about Drumduan, and to welcome new parents to the school.

All new parents joining the school are welcome to get involved in those activities.
