Drumduan school is looking for skilled, enthusiastic, dedicated and experienced staff to continue strengthening and building our passionate and talented staff body.

Drumduan School is situated in Moray, in the north of Scotland. Although the school lies within the small town of Forres, it's feel and surroundings are rural. The school sits between the mountains of the Cairngorms and the sea of the Moray Firth in Moray's unique warm, dry microclimate. Alongside the beautiful scenery of the area, there are also thriving towns such as Nairn and Elgin where one can find all the amenities, shopping and hospitality, with numerous cafes, pubs and restaurants, plentiful supermarkets, and a thriving arts scene with galleries, music nights and year-round music festivals and events. The Findhorn Foundation is just down the road from Findhorn, adding greatly to the alternative and international feel of the area.

This enables us to cover the wide and inspiring Steiner/Waldorf curriculum in the upper school right up to class 12. The availability of mountains, rivers and the sea so close to our doorstep allows us to put emphasis on outdoor learning, hands on experiential work and outdoor pursuits.

We have just embarked on the IE/ACTS assessment program in our upper school that can enable students direct access to further education and university. We are delighted that the taught components of the modules give equal emphasis to main lesson work as well as the subject lessons.

All applicants will need to register with the GTCS (General Teaching Council of Scotland). Registration can be either via 1- a conditional Steiner Named School Only registration (requiring a relevant University degree, Steiner teacher training qualification and English and maths at minimum exam level of national 5 (Scotland) GCSE (England) or recognised level from a different exam system) or 2- full GTCS registration (details via
